Pickup and departure from Leticia
Your private tour starts at 6:30 a.m.: we pick you up at any hotel in Leticia and take you in private transport to the port, where our team is waiting. If you did not have time for breakfast, we give you a snack.
We leave at 7:00 a.m. to make the most of the day and reach each place before anyone else, almost exclusively. In the dry season we cross an island to get to the boat; in high water we leave straight from Leticia.

Monkey Island (Isla de los Micos)
Going up the river we reach the monkey island, home to wild monkeys that live free, not in captivity. We watch them in their own environment, and they are very likely to come to us on their own.
Then we walk through a forest of giant trees, with scenery that looks like a movie set.

Sloth Island (Isla de los Perezosos)
Further up the river, on Sloth Island, the activity is private and led by a specialist guide from the community. Here it is very likely we find them, though we cannot guarantee it: sloths in their natural state, up in the trees.
We walk through the forest and see the giant Victoria water lilies. In the dry season the visit is on foot; in high water (for example in April) it is by boat, because the area floods.

Macedonia, a Tikuna community, and lunch
Coming back down the river we reach Macedonia, an Indigenous Tikuna community. In their maloca we share a cultural exchange, learn a little about their life and, if you want, you can buy crafts.
We have lunch here: you choose between a vegetarian option, fish or chicken.

Pink and grey dolphins
We look for them during the whole trip, going up and coming down. The best chance is in the morning, on the way up the river.
On the way back to Leticia we look for them again, to see the pink and grey dolphins.

Puerto Alegría (Peru)
In Puerto Alegría, a community on the Peruvian side, we have a cultural exchange: they show us a little of Peru and its different regions.
You can also buy crafts before the trip back.

From Puerto Alegría the boat goes down the river back to Leticia, in the Colombian Amazon, where you arrive between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
